Vessels
AME has four DP Class II Vessels used for Diver and ROV support. They are:
Allied Centurion
Allied Centurion was rebuilt in 1999 at Malta Drydocks and converted into an IMO DP Class II Vessel for Diver & ROV support. Allied Centurion is DNV classed and approximately 80m long, 13m wide with a 6m draft.
The vessel is equipped with the latest Kongsberg SDP 21 Duplex Dynamic-positioning system complete with 4 independent reference systems, with a duplication on one of the systems, they are a Simrad Hipap Acoustic System, a Fan Beam reference system, an MK 14B LTW 300m Taut Wire System and interfaces for 2 X DGPS & Artemis systems. This vessel is also equipped with two 12 ton cranes one each on starboard and port sides of the vessel both capable of working at depths deeper than -100 meters. The controls have the 'follow-sub' and 'auto-track' capabilities making it ideal for underwater surveys. The vessel is presently set-up for Air Diving and ROV work and provides a compliment of 59 bunks, mainly in one and two man cabins. There is a large dining area, hospital, gym, entertainment rooms and a sauna. The vessel is equipped with internet facilities available for the vessel crew, project team and the client. The clear deck space is in two sections, the main deck has approximately 400 sq meters and the upper deck has about 100 sq meters. There is a lower hold that is empty with a clear deck area of approximately 280 sq meters.
Allied Conquests
The Allied Conquests, is newly completed vessel that was delivered to AME on August 2008. The vessel was built in Europe and designed to take on the rougher weather in that region. The vessel’s stability, tall sides and high freeboard are ideal for the diving activities that we carry out from the vessel.
The Allied Conquests is approximately 75m long, 15m wide with a 5 meter draft. She is a RINA classed DP II vessel equipped for diving & ROV support with a Kongsberg Simrad SDP21 Duplex Dynamic-positioning system equipped with 4 independent reference systems with a duplication on one of them, they are a Hipap Acoustic System, a Fan Beam reference, 2 x DGPS and a MK 15B/300 Taut Wire System. This vessel is equipped with a 25 ton crane on a single line or 35 ton on a double line, the capable depth of operation is approximately -140 meters. The clear deck space on this vessel is just below 600 sq meters, with the 6 man saturation system loaded on the remaining clear deck space is approximately 350 sq meters.
Allied Achiever
The Allied Achiever, was built in 2001 at Balenciaga, Spain and was operating at various locations from the Gulf of Mexico to the Middle East. AME took over the vessel on January 2010 at Manama Port, Bahrain. She was built specially to work in shallow waters where it draws only 4.10 meters draft maximum. She was designed with 4.5m x 4.5m moonpool at the back deck which is good to launch a work class ROV and for diving activities.
The Allied Achiever is approximately 60m long, 13m wide with cabins accommodated for 60 bunks. Simple and perfect design for offshore vessel. She is a RINA classed DP II vessel equipped for diving & ROV support with a Nautronix Dynamic-Positioning system equipped with 5 independent reference systems with a duplication on one of them, they are a ATS II Acoustic System, a MDL Fan Beam with prism reflector, 2 x Independent FUGRO DGPS and a MK 15B/300 Taut Wire System. This vessel is equipped with a 45 ton crane on a single line and the capable depth of operation is approximately -300 meters. An A-Frame with SWL 5 tonnes at two ends and 20 tonnes at the centre beam. Though the general look of the vessel is small, it has a clear deck space in excess of 300m2 at 5 tonnes uniform deck loading, with a 4.5m x 4.5m moonpool in mid-ship.
Vessel main engines are Caterpillars 3512 x 2 of 1200BHP each coupled with independent fixed pitch Azimuth thrusters with push and pull system, perfect design for position keeping and small turning radius. The engine consumes only 4mt diesel when on DP and 6mt when at sail gives a complete 55 days endurance to keep vessel offshore without coming in to port refueling.
The vessel carries all communication devices and has internet facilities. The mess room seats approximately 30 persons. There is a recreation room, smoke room and a gym onboard the vessel.
Allied Jane
The Allied Jane was built in 2010 by Coastal Contract at Hang Tong Shipbuilding Shipyard, China and delivered to AME on July 2011. She was specially built for multipurpose operations including diving and 4 point mooring capabilities and with Kongsberg Class DP 2 system. The vessel’s stability, extended breadth, lower freeboard with large moonpool at the center of the main deck level provides a good platform for the subsea activities that we carry out from the vessel.
The Allied Jane is an ABS classed DP 2 vessel. Approximately 78m long and 20m wide with 42 cabins, she accommodates 150 personnel on board at any one time. Equipped for diving & ROV support with Kongsberg K-Pos DP 21 Dynamic positioning system with 4 independent reference system such as Fugro DGPS, HiPAP 350, Cnav DGPS and Kongsberg latest version of sound wave Radius 1000. The Bandak MK 15B Taut wire system will be incorporated soon. This vessel is also equipped with an electro-hydraulic deck crane with a capability of 40 tons at 15 meters, and its subsea hook can travel up to (-) 200 meters in depth. Additionally a long 12 meter boom with 2MT capacity provision crane is also fitted port side aft of vessel accommodation to facilitate minor lifting. Clear deck space on this vessel is over 700 sq meters with 7.5mt uniform deck loading capacity which allows 1000tonnes of loading on deck.
Allied Jane’s main propulsion units are 2 X 2475 bhp Wartsila 9L20 engine to serve 2 X Lips WN-K Azimuth thrusters. As for the auxiliary, she carries 3 X 534kw Caterpillar 3412C. The tunnel thrusters are of Kawasaki 2 X 680Kw KT-88B3 CPP. The fuel tanks capacity of over 800m3 gives a very safe endurance for at least 50days.The vessel consumes only 12m3 of MGO per day when on DP mode.
The Allied Jane is equipped with bridge communication systems, internet facilities and wifi. The mess room seats approximately 55 person .
